One of the most interesting pre-Colombian cultures in my country is the Moche (100 to 700 AD). One whose history and religion are as compelling as their artistic metallurgy, ceramics, and huacas (ceremonial temples).
My friend came up with the idea that it would be cool to have some neat Peruvian designs based on the different cultures of our country.
That's how these designs came up.
The use of colors is proper of the natural ink their artisans used in every possible piece, from ceramics about animals and deities, to temples that depict ceremonial sacrifices on their walls.
Inspired by those excellent craftsmen whose art still amaze me 1400 years later.
